Human beings are caught between two different moments. We have physical doors which are reflected through the other universe.
To be in a state of balance and to help others into a state of balance is what a scholar means. Balance is just what we need.
This religion is vast. The extent of the books indicates the extent of the love the individual has for our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him.
The body is part of what we truly are but it is also the instrument. The essence of us is the intention. Intention, it’s from the ruh (soul), it distinguishes us, it allows us to acquire. We are cosmic entities.
We are using religion as a metaphor for our inward angers.
They say the Ihya is the greatest book of Tafsir (Quranic commentary) but also the greatest and profound commentary on the Seerah (Prophetic Biography). We don’t look at the inward dimensions of Seerah enough.
All these inward and outward actions are to do with Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). You can do all these things but with bad adab. Looking angry in prayer is a strange way in submitting lovingly to Allah.
Adab is just another way about talking about balance. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is the meeting point of the two oceans; inward and outward.
We are tyrants and ignorant in our nature, most of the time. Balance of justice and mercy, family time and worship is all found with the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).
Every second is precious. It won’t come back again. We are conscious and alive and there’s always a conscious decision in every moment. Every choice in that split decision of moving away means that you’ll move away from Allah.
Fashion is always changing. It’s exhausting trying to catch up. The Prophetic Sunnah is about being at ease and content with what we have.
Basic state is to be in a state of hamd, shukr and ridah. The Way of the Sunnah is the Way of Sa’adah. Therefore, to be at peace and balance which is the greatest gift of Prophecy.
Allah loves balance in His creation and the one who brought balance, peace and blessings be upon him.
