In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful and Compassionate

All praise to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. And salutations and greetings upon our Master Muhammad and upon his family and companions.

“Poetry is language at its most distilled and most powerful.” – Rita Dove

Treasures for the Seeker intends to share the creative utterances of dear ones with you all. We pray that they stir and realise within us Muhammadan reflection, Muhammadan love, and Muhammadan transformation.

Allahumma Amin. Allahumma Amin. Allahumma Amin.

What would you do if I died?

A startling response, stunning the endless flow of debris from my mouth, into a deafening silence. An unleash of emotions, an unkept water-dam.

By mistake, I took the liberty of asking a fragile question, passive of what the answer may have been. Naively so. For the response, was a dagger to the heart. Words of painful love slicing through the stilled air, coaxing the shatter of smiles from being heard.
You must understand, my soul begged: I do not want to give to you the serenity of the ocean, alongside the ferocity of the thunder.

I cannot ask for the coolness of the blissful rain to shower upon you, whilst leading you into a pit of scorching fire.

I refuse to hand to you the golden platter of my dainty heart, with the sharpness of my knife scratching your back.

Do you not understand? I cannot be your sweet, intoxicating paradox.

I understand. That you are thirsty for the pain, after a moment too long of laughter; for it is instinctual for the human creature. But I do not wish such a curse upon you.

You deserve more. Eternal. Immortal. Infinite.

You deserve the knowing, attachment and binding of the souls. For kindred, love bound spirits, are like that of the two seas. Always and forever, liberally bound.
I beg you, accept my love. For I love with the purity of my soul and not with the dust of my heart. For the love I present, is imperishable.

So when I ask: what would you do if I died?

Say: I will meet you, in the land of loving souls.
