Barakah Fund – An Idea! 

Small but consistent deeds are often overlooked in the busy lives we lead.

The idea was simple, why not come together and encourage each other to give in small affordable amounts, doing this through setting up a standing order directly from our own personal bank accounts to a central fund would give us the opportunity to give consistently.

£1 a month was asked for from people who were interested in the idea, whereupon the money donated would be collected for an entire year and then sent to those in need or used to help set up small sustainable projects around the world. Over a hundred sisters and brothers responded to the idea that was originally posted on the Barakah Group Forum in the UK, some donating £1 a week and others donating more.

Help us grow

The Barakah family has grown with your support. We are growing slowly but steadily. We would like you to continue spreading the word to family and friends, remember this is something that is affordable to all and yet the benefits are countless. Barakah has the potential to fund hundreds of projects over the next decade all which by the will of Allah will become projects that will grow to sustain themselves whilst the reward for all the good that is being done is returning to you.

Let us remember Charity wards off evil from the home, heals the ill and extinguishes the anger of Allah.

We suggest that you set up your standing order to leave your bank account on a Friday in order that you receive the additional reward of giving charity on the jummah – the most blessed day of the week.
