In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful and Compassionate

All praise to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. And salutations and greetings upon our Master Muhammad and upon his family and companions.

“There is poetry as soon as we realise that we possess nothing.” – John Cage

Treasures for the Seeker intends to share the creative utterances of dear ones with you all. We pray that they stir and realise within us Muhammadan reflection, Muhammadan love, and Muhammadan transformation.

Allahumma Amin. Allahumma Amin. Allahumma Amin.

sickly pressure in my chest

weighing down my entire body

like a rock tied to a carcass

then thrown into the sea

except I’m not dead

and there is no sea

I’ve let my life live me

and not live my life

I’m in a tornado

that has no eye

my screams make no noise

my tears are dry

my yelling is a silent sigh

constantly feeling nauseous

therefore not able to eat

but constantly filling myself with water

hoping to wetten my tears

many names have i

none recognizable

the pain of others confuses me

God confuses me

I guess I’m just confused

I’m not anything

I’m not

not

no

do not lie to me

Ya Allah

please take hold of the reins

although You never let go

I’ve just fooled myself into thinking I’ve taken control

and its draining

please do not leave us to ourselves or anything else for a blink of an eye.

please take away the mist from my eyes

and allow me to face You without fear of rejection

for to be rejected by You…

Hm.

asking for help from You has always been my weakness

asking for help from the creator of the hardship i feel

makes me feel slightly ungrateful

but today i ask

‘oh Lord, I’m vulnerable today. I have no energy and am in need of Your

love and support.

please gaze upon me with an eye of mercy.

so that I may be able to get through the day.

oh Lord, I’m vulnerable today.

please gaze upon me with an eye of mercy.

so that I may be able to get through the day.

oh Lord, I’m vulnerable today.

please gaze upon me with an eye of mercy.

so that I may be able to get through the day’
